Alison and Wayne Blundell are fully qualified and insured HCPC registered Chiropodists/Podiatrists. They have been providing professional foot care for over 30 years, combining their ‘in-depth’ knowledge and experience treating patients of all ages.

Once they have personally diagnosed your foot issues professionally, they can then provide a wide range of effective foot care treatments, information and advice to help improve your foot problems.

Alison & Wayne Blundell can use their valuable experience and skills when treating patients, to provide a wide range of effective foot care treatments and solutions for your foot problems, including advice on how to look after your feet properly as many issues arise from foot wear, pre-existing medical conditions, infections, sports injuries, accidental trauma, pregnancy and age-related problems for example.

You are able to book an individual ‘one-off’ general foot health check with regards to your feet for a professional assessment and treatment. Or if you are experiencing specific issues and/or pain, these will be addressed as a priority during your treatment consultation along with our normal practice.

You may need follow up appointments for a specific problem and then like many of our current patients, you may wish to attend a regular appointment throughout the year, to provide routine treatment to ensure healthier feet and your comfort!

Your treatment will be carried out at their friendly and relaxed surgery.

With regard to theCoronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, we wish to assure all our patients that we have always adhered to strict protocols with regards to clinical hygiene and safety, prior to and during your treatment.

Your appointment must be booked via telephone.

Please do not call by the surgery in person without an appointment, as this will disturb another patients consultation.

How do I know if my podiatrist/chiropodist is qualified?

The titles, Podiatrist and Chiropodist are protected titles in law and only those who are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) are legally entitled to use them. This offers greater protection to the public with the assurance that practitioners have met the standards set by the HCPC, such as assessing patients’ feet and explaining a diagnosis before the commencement of any treatment; have continually maintained their knowledge through Continuing Professional Development and are able to practice lawfully, safely and effectively.

Alison and Wayne Blundell adhere to government guidelines, maintain Continual Professional Development and keep updated with the latest research; best practice related to high standards of care and infection control.

All medical history and general information provided by you will be held strictly as private and confidential under the terms of the ICO and GPDR registered data protection requirements.

The terms Podiatry and Chiropody are interchangeable. Both terms are reserved titles in the UK meaning that only those registered with and providing the correct qualifications to the Health professions council, can use them.

We are a regulator of health and care professions in the UK. Our role is to protect the public. By law, people must be registered with us to work in the UK.

Both Alison and Wayne Blundell are qualified and HCPC registered and compliant with their regulations. They are also Senior Associates of the Royal Society of Medicine.
